Seasonal Corn Sorter – Harvest Operations

We are hiring Seasonal Corn Sorters to support corn harvest and seed production operations in Worthington, Indiana. No previous corn sorting experience is required, and training will be provided.

As a Corn Sorter, you will inspect corn moving on a conveyor belt and remove damaged, moldy, immature, or unwanted corn to help maintain seed quality.

Responsibilities:

• Sort corn on a moving conveyor belt.
• Identify damaged, moldy, immature, insect-damaged, and off-type corn.
• Remove waste, debris, and unwanted material.
• Re-husk corn when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, and near misses.
• Support general production activities as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work with hands at a quick pace.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs.
• Comfortable working around corn dust and plant allergens.
• Comfortable working around a moving conveyor belt.
• Reliable attendance.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Ability to follow safety instructions.

Schedule:

• Front Half: Sunday–Tuesday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM; Wednesday, 6:30 AM–1:00 PM.
• Back Half: Wednesday, 12:30 PM–7:00 PM; Thursday–Saturday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM.

Pay: $17.00/hour

Long pants, closed-toe/closed-heel shoes, and a shirt covering the shoulders are required. Safety glasses and gloves will be provided.

This is an on-site seasonal harvest position. No interview or previous experience is required. Background screening is required.
