This opportunity runs from September 8, 2026, to October 30, 2026, offering valuable experience within a dynamic special education program for grade 11-12 students with emotional disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Active New York Special Education Teaching license, including all required endorsements and certifications
- Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with high school students managing emotional or behavioral challenges
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
- Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive classroom culture
- Comfortable working in-person at the assigned location
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction aligned with student needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with other educators and staff on instructional strategies and student progress
- Monitor, document, and report on student academic and behavioral outcomes
- Provide guidance, support, and resources to students, fostering a positive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
