Key Qualifications:

• Active New York State Teaching License with ART endorsement/certification
• Previous experience teaching general education or art in a school setting is preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging art lessons that meet New York State standards for grades assigned
• Encourage creative thinking, artistic skills, and self-expression through diverse mediums and projects
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and tailor instruction to support individual learning needs
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all students
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate arts concepts into broader educational themes and activities
• Communicate clearly with parents and staff regarding student growth and classroom objectives
• Participate in school-wide events, shows, or activities that showcase student artwork
