Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Westland, Michigan

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
• Current or eligible State SLP licensure/certification
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants welcome
• Experience or passion for pediatric populations, ideally in educational environments
• Competency with teletherapy and traditional onsite instruction
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in multidisciplinary settings
• Knowledge of evaluation tools, IEP process, and evidence-based therapeutic strategies

Key responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for early childhood students
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with parents and faculty to support student success
• Deliver both in-person and teletherapy services as needed
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
• Provide consultation and resources to families and staff to further student achievement
• Adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of young children in a classroom or virtual setting
