Make a meaningful impact supporting students in an intermediate school environment near Berwyn, IL. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled and compassionate Social Worker interested in working hands-on within a supportive and collaborative school community. The position will be onsite only, providing direct services to students in grades 3-5, including those with disabilities and general education populations, for the full upcoming school year (August 17th through May 21st).

Key Qualifications:

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Master’s in Social Work (MSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Previous experience in school-based social work strongly preferred
  • Knowledge in supporting students with a variety of disabilities and providing general interventions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support and behavioral interventions

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 250-300 students in grades 3-5
  • Deliver individual and group interventions to address emotional, behavioral, and social needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to develop and implement students’ support strategies
  • Complete necessary documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise in the development of social, emotional, and behavioral goals
  • Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and preventive programming
