Special Education Teacher (4th - 6th grade)
Location: Berwyn, IL area
Term: 2026/2027 Full School Year
Status: Full-Time Contract (35 Hours/Week)
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Special Education Teacher for a full-year contract assignment.
As a contract professional in this program, you will work in a supportive, resource-rich environment designed to help young learners with a variety of needs develop foundational skills in a specialized classroom setting.
Key Position Details
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7-8 hours per day
Caseload: Upper elementary students in a Resource Setting
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on experience
Requirements
To be considered for this contract position, candidates MUST possess:
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement or Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience or a strong clinical interest in working with middle school special needs students
- New grads who have completed student teaching are welcome to apply
Candidates who are not fully licensed or who will not be licensed before the beginning of the 26-27 school year will NOT be considered.
