This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced Special Education Teacher who is passionate about fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. Enjoy the structure of a supportive team including a dedicated Case Manager who will assist with compliance and day-to-day guidance, allowing you to focus on meaningful engagement in your classroom.

Your schedule will include leading three inclusion classes and two resource classes, all while benefitting from two dedicated prep periods to collaborate, plan, or recharge. With a manageable caseload of 10-15 students, you’ll have the chance to establish strong connections and track individual progress closely. The assignment begins on August 17th, aligning you closely with the upcoming academic year.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification
  • Experience working with students with a range of learning needs
  • Skilled in adapting curriculum for inclusion and resource settings
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support students in three inclusion and two resource classes
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to maximize inclusive opportunities
  • Track, assess, and document student progress
  • Tailor instructional approaches to student IEP goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning
