Make a difference in the lives of high school students as a dedicated contract School Psychologist near Newark, DE. This full-time, on-site opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 16, 2027, providing essential support within a dynamic school environment. You’ll work closely with high school students, staff, and families to foster a positive, supportive educational experience.

Qualifications:

  • Active Delaware (DE) School Psychologist licensure (must provide proof with application)
  • Demonstrated school-based or high school experience preferred
  • Solid background in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and writing detailed reports
  • Proven ability to collaborate with staff and participate in IEP meetings
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively support and advocate for student needs
  • Reliable transportation for consistent onsite presence

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for high school students
  • Prepare thorough, timely reports outlining findings and recommendations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable input as part of a collaborative team
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to develop effective interventions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Uphold a consistent, full-time, in-person schedule (37.5 hours/week; Monday–Friday)
  • Complete required Red Clay fingerprinting at the beginning of the assignment
