• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational settings
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Familiarity with school-based interpreting practices and protocols
• Ability to manage communication needs for students, teachers, and staff
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and a collaborative approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and clear interpretation between spoken English and ASL for students and school faculty
• Facilitate effective communication during classroom instruction, activities, and meetings
• Support students’ full access to education and social interactions
• Consult with educators and staff to ensure optimal learning environments for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality standards
• Adapt to dynamic classroom needs and varying interpreting situations
