Special Education Teacher in Destrehan, LA

What we're seeking:

• Valid Louisiana Special Education Educator Certificate (required)
• Previous experience working with elementary-age students preferred
• Adaptability and comfort in a range of special education settings
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs in an onsite elementary school setting
• Develop, update, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
• Employ a variety of teaching methods to address student strengths and needs
• Track progress, maintain documentation, and participate in meetings and conferences as needed
• Uphold a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
