Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana SPED Educator Certificate is required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in elementary settings
• Comfort working in a variety of classroom and support environments

• Dedication to implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and integrating appropriate accommodations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students on caseload
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt lessons to engage students with diverse abilities, focusing on both academic and social-emotional development
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, interventions, and required reports
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure cohesive support for each student
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

This is a full-time contract position, requiring 35 hours per week from August 3, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with one opening available. You'll have the satisfaction of shaping students’ foundational skills while gaining valuable experience in a supportive school environment.
