Step into an exciting opportunity to make a real impact as a Health Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year! This rewarding contract role offers a dynamic schedule working across both middle and high school settings near Minneapolis, MN. Shape young minds and promote healthy lifestyles while enjoying a varied and engaging teaching experience.

Your school year begins on August 31, 2026, and continues through June 7, 2027, at a .7 FTE schedule. You’ll split your time between the middle school and high school, building positive relationships with students at both campuses. High school responsibilities include instructing three Beginning Weights classes and teaching Nutrition, empowering students to understand and prioritize wellness. At the middle school, you’ll take on an advisory role and teach a section of Personal Wellness, guiding students during an important stage in their development.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification appropriate for General Education and Health (state requirements apply)
  • Experience teaching Health, Nutrition, Physical Education, or a related subject preferred
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage diverse learners
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in Beginning Weights, Nutrition, Personal Wellness, and Advisory
  • Foster a supportive classroom culture that motivates students toward healthy choices
  • Collaborate with colleagues across both the middle and high school
  • Develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in staff meetings as required
