Make a meaningful impact as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant supporting students across a range of abilities in a dynamic school environment near Shingle Springs, CA. This contract opportunity allows you to collaborate with dedicated professionals while making a difference in the lives of students with mild to severe needs. This position follows a full-time, full-school-year schedule and is suited for those passionate about school-based practice.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are encouraged to apply! Virtual OT supervision will be provided, but all direct services must be delivered in person. The role is itinerant, offering variety as you travel to different school sites within the district.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid OT or COTA licensure in California
  • Previous school-based experience required for COTAs
  • Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy documentation
  • Ability to work independently with guidance from a supervising OT
  • Comfortable providing support across a spectrum of mild to severe student needs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to travel between schools as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in person
  • Assess, develop, and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student requirements
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and consult with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Support classroom staff with strategies and accommodations for student success
  • Maintain compliance with all policies regarding school-based therapy practices
