This contract opportunity runs from September through December, covering a leave of absence for a valued team member. The position is full-time, five days per week, with flexibility for those seeking part-time hours. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active and current California Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience working in a school setting (elementary experience preferred)
- Ability to work on-site, five days per week (part-time considered)
- Strong organizational skills, independence, and adaptability
- Passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning
- Please note: Only candidates who are OTs will be considered (no COTAs)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Assess and document students’ needs, progress, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to develop IEP goals and ensure effective support
- Manage assigned school caseload, primarily at Marblehead Elementary School
- Quickly acclimate to ongoing changes within the district and on-site demands
- Communicate effectively with school staff and administration
