Job Description
A rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students in a dynamic school setting near San Jose, CA. This part-time contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 11th, with final hours and assignment location to be determined. Candidates must provide onsite services—remote or hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Occupational Therapist license in California, or be eligible for licensure under the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience focused on pediatric therapy, particularly with developmental disabilities
- Prior work in educational environments preferred
- Strong collaboration skills, with a history of working effectively alongside teams and families
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ functional abilities and needs within an educational framework
- Develop and implement targeted therapy plans to promote student participation and independence in school activities
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and family members to align therapy strategies with educational goals
- Maintain detailed records and document all services provided, adhering to school and state regulations
- Participate in student support meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development as needed
