Special Education Teacher in Broomfield, CO

You’ll be the cornerstone of a program focused on preparing students with special needs for success beyond the classroom—both in school and in the wider community.

What You'll Bring:

• A valid or in-process CDE license (required; interviews will only be offered if an active license or COOL is submitted with your resume)
• At least one year of classroom experience working with students with special needs
• Expertise in writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), developing Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), and collecting/maintaining student data
• Ability to teach practical job readiness, vocational, and independent living skills
• Flexibility and strong team collaboration skills
• Commitment to on-site work, ensuring hands-on support for students

Your Role Includes:

• Supporting a caseload of twelve students at the Transitions Center, focusing on practical and community-based instruction
• Delivering classroom lessons and community-based activities from 8 am to 4 pm
• Administering and tailoring IEPs and BSPs to meet diverse student needs
• Collecting, analyzing, and acting on student progress data
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to foster a supportive, success-oriented environment
• Preparing students for greater independence and real-world job experiences
