Located near Longmont, CO, you’ll work onsite supporting middle school students with additional peer mentor involvement and a comprehensive team of full-time paraeducators and specialized services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license in Special Education (proof required at submission).
  • Minimum of one year experience in classroom special education settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a flexible team member.
  • Experience working with diverse student needs in a self-contained classroom is highly valued.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a classroom of approximately 10 students, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate daily with a dedicated paraeducator team, as well as BCBA, Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational/Physical Therapists, and Psychologist/Social Worker support staff.
  • Employ a variety of instructional methods and accommodations to maximize student growth, participation, and achievement.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and work closely with families and interdisciplinary staff to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Foster peer mentoring and social-emotional learning within the classroom setting.
