Special Education Teacher in Dover, PA

Make a meaningful impact this school year as an onsite Special Education Teacher supporting K-12 students in a dynamic learning center environment. Two dedicated educators are needed to provide instruction and support within Autistic Support Classrooms, helping each student reach their fullest potential. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education (required)
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum strongly preferred
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Strong classroom management and collaborative skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and pre-assignment training
• Ability to secure all necessary Pennsylvania clearances prior to start date

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to student IEP goals
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Deliver instruction and interventions individually and in small group settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and families
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings and progress reporting
• Participate actively in scheduled pre-trainings and professional development, as assigned
• Remain flexible to classroom assignments within the learning center as needs evolve
