Make a meaningful difference in the educational journey of young learners as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting elementary students! This contract opportunity runs full-time during a maternity leave coverage (10/15 - 2/4) and focuses on serving TK-5th grade students in a dynamic school setting.

You'll work under the supervision of an experienced and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist who is committed to ensuring a wonderful working partnership—candidates will have the opportunity to connect directly with the supervising SLP beforehand to ensure a great fit.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Active California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license
  • Minimum of 3 months of SLPA experience, ideally in a school setting
  • Comfortable supporting an elementary (TK-5) caseload
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, though not required
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a student-focused mindset
  • Eagerness to engage positively with students, families, and school staff

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) under the guidance of an SLP
  • Supporting therapy sessions, language development, and communication goals for diverse learners
  • Documenting student progress and collaborating on intervention strategies
  • Engaging in school-based team meetings and communicating effectively with educators and families
