Job Description
Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a dynamic school environment. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, providing speech-language services as the sole SLP assigned to a single site. Serving approximately 45 students, you'll lead comprehensive care, including direct therapy, assessments, and active participation in IEP processes.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license required
- Experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong background in conducting assessments, evaluations, and delivering therapy to elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a moderate caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language therapy sessions for students with diverse needs
- Administer evaluations and standardized testing to inform service plans
- Develop, implement, and monitor student progress on IEP goals
- Document services and communications in alignment with district standards
- Attend IEP meetings, collaborating closely with families and educational staff
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for school-based practice
- Participate in team meetings as needed; administrative and indirect time is incorporated in your schedule
