Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade during a maternity leave coverage. This full-time, contract assignment offers a chance to collaborate and learn under the guidance of a supportive and experienced supervising SLP using both onsite and teletherapy methods. Build valuable skills while making a direct impact on a diverse elementary school caseload.

You’ll have the benefit of meeting with the supervising SLP beforehand to ensure a positive working relationship and a strong start. Candidates will enjoy a collaborative environment with dedicated mentorship.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in California
  • Minimum of 3 months prior SLPA experience, preferably in a school setting
  • Background working with elementary-aged students (TK-5) is highly valued
  • Bilingual Spanish abilities are a plus, but not mandatory
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language intervention services to elementary students per their IEPs
  • Work closely with your supervising SLP to plan and deliver engaging therapy sessions
  • Accurately document student progress and maintain records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for holistic support
  • Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet diverse student needs

This assignment runs from mid-October through early February, with the flexibility of a full-time contract schedule—ideal for building your school-based experience and making a meaningful contribution to your career.
