As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll collaborate closely with licensed Occupational Therapists to provide essential support services, helping students achieve their educational and developmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience, ideally in a school or pediatric environment
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining continuing education credits as required by the state and district

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering individualized therapy services
  • Carry out therapeutic activities and interventions tailored to students’ needs
  • Monitor student progress, providing detailed documentation and collaborating on treatment adjustments
  • Partner with teachers, school staff, administrators, and parents to ensure effective support
