Step into a fulfilling role supporting students with diverse needs as a valued Occupational Therapy professional in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, full school year contract position is an itinerant role in the Folsom/El Dorado County region, offering an excellent opportunity for both OTs and experienced COTAs seeking impactful, in-person work. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on providing hands-on services to students with mild to severe needs, helping them succeed in daily school life. We offer robust virtual OT supervision for COTAs, ensuring you have ongoing guidance while delivering essential, in-person therapies.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • COTAs must have prior school-based experience
  • Strong background working with students with mild to severe needs
  • Comfort providing all direct services in person; teletherapy (voco) not available for this role
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a flexible, itinerant schedule and adapt to multiple school sites
  • Knowledge of IEP process, documentation, and best practices in school-based OT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group OT interventions to promote student participation and independence
  • Travel between school locations to provide consistent, high-quality direct services
  • Assess student needs, develop goals, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with educators, family members, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and virtual supervision (for COTAs)
