In this full-time role, you’ll work as a Transitions Intensive Teacher, supporting 18 to 21-year-old special education students. Your day runs from 8 am to 4 pm, with a caseload of 12 students at the Transitions Center, focusing on job readiness, independence, and community-based instruction. Contribute to individual education plans and behavior supports, while participating fully in classroom and community settings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of classroom experience
  • Current or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license (active or COOL documentation required)
  • Flexible, collaborative approach; true team player
  • Willingness to provide documentation for credential verification

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction in job readiness and independent living skills
  • Write, implement, and monitor IEPs and BSPs
  • Collect and analyze student progress data
  • Provide both classroom-based and community-based teaching
  • Foster supportive learning environments for student growth
