Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience
  • Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license or in process of receiving (must provide documentation with resume)
  • Flexible, team-oriented attitude with strong collaboration skills
  • Experience in Special Education, preferably with 18-21 year olds
  • Ability to write and implement IEPs, collect data, and develop BSPs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of 12 transition-aged students (18-21 years)
  • Focus on teaching independent living and job readiness skills both in classroom and community settings
  • Complete IEPs, progress reports, and behavior support plans
  • Collect and analyze student data
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings
  • Maintain compliance with all district and state requirements
