Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a contracted Occupational Therapist serving sites near Wilmington, DE. This onsite position begins August 24, 2026, extending through June 16, 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. This assignment offers a unique blend of responsibilities: initially, you'll split your time providing direct therapy and evaluations between an elementary school and an Early Learning Center to cover a maternity leave, followed by a transition to a full-time schedule at the Early Learning Center.

This opportunity is ideal for therapists passionate about fostering growth and independence in young learners and who thrive in collaborative school settings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active Occupational Therapist license
  • Previous experience in K–12 or early childhood school-based settings preferred
  • Demonstrated skill completing evaluations and providing direct therapy
  • Comfortable engaging elementary-aged and early childhood student populations
  • COTA applicants are not eligible for this role; applicants must be licensed OTs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop detailed reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Transition smoothly between assigned school sites as needed during the contract period

Enjoy the stability of a consistent, full-time weekday schedule in an engaging educational environment, working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team. The contract setting allows you to focus on direct impact with students, without the additional obligations of a permanent school role.

Apply today to make a tangible difference in students’ lives while advancing your professional journey as an Occupational Therapist. Submit your resume and licensure details to be considered for this onsite opportunity.
