Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required
• Active teaching license for elementary/primary grades
• Experience as a general education classroom teacher, preferably in 2nd grade or lower elementary
• Ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered classroom
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and adapting to diverse learning needs
• Effective communicator with parents, students, and colleagues

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive, standards-based instruction to 2nd grade students across core subjects
• Develop and implement lesson plans that encourage active participation and inquiry
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods as needed
• Foster a positive, organized, and respectful classroom culture
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff to enhance student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and support student growth through regular feedback
