As a part-time RN, you’ll work closely with a 1st grader who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH). Your day will start early, supporting your student’s journey both physically and developmentally—riding the bus from Flower Mound to the Denton Regional Day School for the Deaf and back, becoming a trusted resource for both the student and the educational team.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license
• Experience with tracheostomy care and oxygen administration (PRN)
• School nursing background preferred
• Fluent or proficient in sign language (ASL)
• Experience supporting children who are DHH is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to a 1st grade student, including trach and oxygen management
• Support the student’s verbal and sign language communication skills
• Ensure safety and well-being during school hours and bus transportation
• Collaborate with special education teams and classroom staff
• Serve as a bridge between medical and educational needs
