Step into a meaningful role supporting middle school students in a dynamic educational setting. As a paraprofessional, you’ll work closely with adolescents in a center-based environment, making a daily impact on learners who benefit from specialized instruction and care.

Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and must meet one of the following requirements prior to consideration:
  • Successful completion of the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (proof of passing score required), or
  • At least 60 college credit hours (official transcripts required; diploma images do not meet this requirement)
• Prior experience assisting in school settings, especially with special education caseloads, preferred
• Comfort and willingness to assist students with daily routines, including toileting support
• Ability to build rapport with students and staff in a collaborative, inclusive environment
• Strong communication, patience, and a dedication to fostering student growth

Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering instructional support under the supervision of certified teachers in center-based (Setting 2–3) classrooms
• Foster a positive and respectful learning atmosphere for middle school students with unique educational needs
• Provide hands-on assistance, including physical support and toileting as needed
• Help with classroom organization, behavioral support, and small group activities
• Monitor and document student progress according to program guidelines

This contracted opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, to November 29, 2026, for 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Compensation is set at $20 per hour. Outstanding performers will be considered for direct hire by the district after completing their contracting period.
