Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Denham Springs, Louisiana

Make a difference in the lives of students as an Educational Diagnostician supporting K-12 learners. This contract opportunity provides the flexibility to work both remotely (VOCO) and on-site, collaborating with a passionate multidisciplinary team in a dynamic school environment.

Beginning August 18, 2026, through May 24, 2027, you’ll provide critical assessment and support services—including participation on a preschool evaluation team—to ensure every child receives appropriate educational interventions. With a 29-hour work week, you’ll engage directly with students and staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for learning and development.

What You'll Bring:

• Valid Louisiana DOE Educational Diagnostician Certification
• Experience conducting assessments, creating detailed evaluation reports, and collaborating on IEP teams within a school setting
• Knowledge of special education law, eligibility processes, and best practices in educational diagnostics
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities across diverse school teams
• Ability to meet all district compliance requirements, including background check and fingerprinting
• Flexibility to work with a caseload that may include preschool as well as K-12 students

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students’ unique educational needs, primarily with a preschool evaluation team initially
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service staff to develop and implement intervention strategies
• Review data, interpret assessment results, and provide recommendations for eligibility and educational programming
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Travel as needed between assigned schools (assignments to be determined)
