What We’re Looking For:

• Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License, with Multi-categorical certification or relevant endorsements
• Experience teaching in Special Education settings (elementary, middle, high school, or PreK)
• Familiarity with moderate needs, co-taught resource rooms, and self-contained classrooms
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet a range of student needs and abilities
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to special education students in settings ranging from PreK self-contained to high school moderate needs classrooms
• Collaborate with co-teachers and educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Create positive learning environments and adapt materials for different learning levels
• Monitor and document student progress, making data-informed adjustments to instructional strategies
• Engage directly with families and staff to support student development and achievement
• Maintain compliance with district and state special education requirements

• Contract role through May 28, 2027, with hours ranging from 35 to 37.5 per week at multiple school sites
