Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students within life skills programming across up to three educational sites. This role provides a chance to make a meaningful difference for students with diverse speech, language, and communication needs across both the Westmorland campus and Lane schools. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, to June 17, 2027, with a full-time 40-hour week.

In this position, you’ll split your week between two distinct environments: Westmorland, which focuses on students with special education needs, and Lane, which offers a supportive space for fostering social skills and behavior development. With a caseload of approximately 33 students, you’ll play a crucial part in their growth, particularly for those requiring expertise in safe eating (feeding and swallowing) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility as a school SLP
  • Prior experience supporting life skills programs, preferably with AAC and feeding/swallowing cases
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort supporting students with a range of behavioral needs
  • Ability to work independently, while engaging in virtual and monthly team support

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver therapy for speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and AAC needs
  • Collaborate with special educators, paraprofessionals, and behavioral teams
  • Provide consultative support to staff and families, maintaining detailed documentation
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students

Enjoy the autonomy of managing your caseload, balanced by ongoing support from a dedicated SLP team and on-site assistants. If you have a passion for empowering students within life skills settings and want to shape positive outcomes in a dynamic contract position, we encourage you to apply today!
