Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity spanning the 2026-2027 academic year, where your expertise in school-based Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) will be highly valued. Serving across two dynamic sites, your week will balance between the Westmoreland campus—which focuses on specialized education—and Lane schools, known for fostering social and behavioral growth. Ideal candidates bring proven experience in feeding and swallowing (safe eating protocols), alongside proficiency in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Your skill set will be vital in creating meaningful progress for students with varied abilities, including a segment with high behavior needs at the high school level. While independence is a key feature of this position, ongoing support is available—including virtual check-ins and monthly team collaboration, plus hands-on help from SPED staff, paraprofessionals, and assistants right on campus.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active CCC certification
- Experience in school settings, particularly with life skills programming
- Strong background in feeding and swallowing safety and AAC interventions
- Comfortable working independently while coordinating with a broader support team
- Flexible and adaptable across multiple sites with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group SLP services aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary educators, support staff, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in team meetings
- Provide expertise in feeding, swallowing, and complex communication needs
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for all students
The contract runs from August 31, 2026, to June 17, 2027, with your skills making an immediate difference.
