Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Rochester, NY

Step into a rewarding role this fall as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary-aged students in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time contract position offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact by working closely with young learners in the Rochester, NY area. The position is initially set for September 8 through approximately November 20, with the possibility of extension.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active New York SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment preferred
• Strong skills in articulation and fluency interventions
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
• Demonstrated flexibility and positive attitude in educational environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy services focused on articulation and fluency in primarily education classrooms
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other school staff to develop effective strategies for student success
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for speech and language needs, documenting progress and maintaining accurate records
• Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere while empowering students to improve their communication abilities
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to parent communications as needed
