Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist near Staten Island, NY. This position offers a steady weekday schedule—6 hours per day, Monday through Friday—in a collaborative educational environment. You’ll provide essential speech services across a manageable caseload, conducting 10 sessions per day with an hour reserved at the end for paperwork, planning, or collaboration with staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active NY SLP license required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- TSSLD/TSHH certification
- Previous school-based experience and SLP-CCC credential preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a school team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress records
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Provide expertise in speech and language development to the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student case discussions
