Key Qualifications:
- Valid NY State Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university or college.
- Certification in TSSLD or TSHH (Teaching Students with Speech and Language Disabilities/Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped).
- Experience in school-based SLP roles preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and families.
- Committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based speech and language services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to a caseload of students in a school setting, providing 10 sessions daily.
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and maintain rigorous documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure students’ needs are consistently met.
- Monitor and document student progress, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team’s success.
- Dedicate one hour each day for planning, progress notes, and communication.
