Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Jamaica, NY

Qualifications and Experience Needed:

• Valid NY State SLP License
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Required TSSLD or TSHH certification
• Previous experience in a school-based setting or working with children is highly valued
• Holds or eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy sessions onsite—10 sessions per day, each carefully planned for student success
• Conduct individualized and group therapy to support diverse communication needs
• Complete documentation, progress reports, and billing during the final hour of the workday
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create tailored treatment plans and track student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success stories
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
