Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | San Tan Valley, Arizona

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This direct hire opportunity is for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role at a growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy. The position is based in San Tan Valley, AZ, with additional options in Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ. This is a hands-on PIC position requiring expertise in dispensing, patient counseling, pharmacy operations, and regulatory compliance, supporting the pharmacy’s national expansion ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide thorough patient counseling
• Supervise pharmacy staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), USP, and FDA 503A compliance
• Manage pharmacy inventory including controlled substances and documentation
• Handle patient inquiries with a strong focus on customer service
• Ensure ongoing compliance with state and federal regulations in all serviced states

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in AZ or NJ, aligned with work location
• 3–5 years of pharmacy experience
• Experience preferred in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy settings
• Proven capability and comfort functioning as a working PIC
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for 503A pharmacy facilities
• Prior PIC or pharmacy management experience preferred
• PioneerRx experience a plus (training is available)
• West Coast licensure (CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO) highly desirable for national coverage

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required as the pharmacy grows

Local candidates in Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ are strongly preferred as relocation is not currently approved.
