Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract position supporting elementary students through the upcoming school year! A unique opportunity awaits a skilled School Psychologist who enjoys making a difference through assessment work rather than direct counseling, with all essential counseling duties handled by on-site counselors.
This role involves serving three elementary campuses in the Richmond/Sugarland, TX area, collaborating within a supportive educational environment. The term spans from early August 2026 to late May 2027, offering consistent, full-time hours and the flexibility to work virtually one set day each week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday), determined at the start of your assignment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas School Psychologist license required
- Experience with elementary age groups preferred
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills; commitment to ethical practice
- Ability to organize, coordinate, and manage multiple campus assignments
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students as assigned
- Prepare, present, and document findings using established procedures
- Partner with educational staff and families to interpret assessment data and recommend appropriate interventions
- Support compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each campus
- Collaborate with counselors and staff to support positive outcomes for students
