Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting elementary students across three campuses in the Houston area. This position allows you to make a meaningful difference by providing expert assessment services, working collaboratively with school leaders and educators. The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, to May 27, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Enjoy flexibility with the option to work virtually one day each week—choose either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and maintain your selected day for the duration, unless otherwise arranged.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active School Psychologist license in the state of Texas
- Previous experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong skills in conducting educational assessments; counseling is managed by existing school counselors
- Organizational abilities to balance multiple campus assignments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate and advocate for diverse students
- References must be available prior to consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for elementary students and deliver timely, insightful reports
- Collaborate with faculty and special education teams to interpret results and plan interventions
- Participate in eligibility meetings and provide recommendations tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain consistent documentation in compliance with district standards
- Ensure professional communication with all stakeholders including parents and school staff
