Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Thomasville, NC

What You'll Bring:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license, issued by the state of North Carolina
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Experience, or strong interest, in school-based settings working with children
• Background with K–5 elementary students (ideal for the elementary role) or knowledge of adaptive and AAC strategies for students with significant disabilities (essential for the specialized program)
• Familiarity with conducting evaluations, direct therapy, and developing individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills with educators and support staff

What You'll Do:

• Deliver direct therapy services to assigned caseloads following best practice standards
• Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations and maintain accurate documentation
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Use adaptive communication strategies (AAC) for students with more complex needs, as appropriate
• Support students’ communication growth within the academic environment
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, students, and families
