Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract role supporting young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist near Lillington, NC. This onsite position spans the school year, providing essential speech and language services at the elementary level within a collaborative, student-focused environment, starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 2027.
Requirements:
- Current North Carolina SLP license is necessary
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) also considered
- Solid experience working in school settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to assess and treat elementary-aged children with diverse communication needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to onsite-only service delivery
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Document findings and develop customized treatment plans aligned to student needs
- Deliver direct therapy through engaging, evidence-based methods
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required compliance documentation
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and communication
