Make an incredible impact mentoring young learners as a contract speech-language pathologist at an elementary school setting. You will work with a supportive team of educators and specialists, using your expertise to provide services that ensure every student finds their voice and thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active NC SLP License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or Clinical Fellow (CF) eligibility
- Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings is highly recommended
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
- Dedicated to fostering language, articulation, and social communication skills in diverse student populations
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students onsite
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Assess, diagnose, and document communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student progress
- Engage in RTI, MTSS, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain all required records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Provide in-service training and resources to support staff when needed
