Job Description
Step into a dynamic school-based role as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting K-12 students across multiple locations through the 2026 school year. This full-time, contract-based opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students, delivering vital speech-language services in a flexible and collaborative setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Current North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in educational settings or with school-age children preferred
- Familiarity with conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and tracking student progress
- Ability to provide virtual (Voco) services across various school sites
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload of K-12 students at multiple school locations
- Use evidence-based practices to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Support student communication needs both in-person and virtually, working closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Develop and maintain IEPs, deliver progress updates, and handle related documentation
- Attend IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development as needed
- Utilize teletherapy platforms effectively to reach students wherever they are
- Serve as an advocate for students with communication disorders, promoting inclusion within the school environment
This role offers the stability of a school-year calendar, with 35 hours per week scheduled Monday through Friday from August 18, 2026, through June 10, 2027.
