Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana Math Educator Certificate qualifying you to teach high school grade levels.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and effective instruction in Algebra I.
• Previous experience teaching math at the secondary level is preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Dedication to promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver well-structured Algebra I lessons following the current curriculum and state standards.
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic development.
• Adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and administration to create a cohesive educational experience.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and parent communications.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and professional development sessions to enhance instructional techniques.

You’ll work full time (35 hours per week), now through May 2027, providing essential mathematics education and guidance in a dynamic high school setting. This role allows you to make a direct, positive impact on students’ lives while honing your own teaching skills in a supportive environment.
