Make a difference in the lives of students by providing vital psychological services for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year in the Detroit area. This full-time, contract position is an opportunity to foster positive educational outcomes, offering support and guidance where it’s needed most within a dedicated school environment.

Your background in school psychology will help address students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs in collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals. You’ll have the satisfaction of seeing your expertise contribute directly to student success and well-being.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Certified or licensed School Psychologist (in compliance with Michigan state requirements)
  • Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results.
  • Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs and 504 Plans.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Commitment to evidence-based interventions and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments to identify students’ learning and behavioral needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student support.
  • Deliver counseling and interventions to students individually and in small groups.
  • Assist in crisis prevention and intervention efforts within the school.
  • Support staff and families with strategies to foster academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and legal standards.
