Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Baton Rouge, LA

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity offers per diem pharmacist coverage at a community health center pharmacy located just east of Baton Rouge, LA. The role involves supporting ongoing retail pharmacy operations with flexible hours primarily between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on select dates from November 20 through December 31. The client seeks to build a reliable team of 1-2 retail pharmacists for future needs, as coverage is regularly requested.

Location:

• Community health center pharmacy near Baton Rouge, LA (Livingston area)

Schedule/Hours:

• Per diem
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on specified dates (starting November 20 through December 31)

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions in a retail pharmacy setting
• Provide excellent patient counseling and support
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare team to maintain efficient workflow
• Use pharmacy software to process prescriptions and maintain records (experience with Rx30 preferred but not required)

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with retail experience
• Familiarity with Rx30 software is a plus
• Ability to work independently and part-time hours, ideally as a retail pharmacist
• Strong communication and organizational skills
