Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborative spirit with the ability to contribute to a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate documentation as required
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to address students’ unique needs and monitor progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for student success
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations in accordance with district and state procedures
  • Provide consultation and training to staff and families regarding strategies to foster communication skills
