Job Description
Empower young learners to find their voices by working as a Speech Language Pathologist in an elementary school setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality speech therapy services on-site, either full or part-time, supporting students’ growth and communication skills. Your expertise will play a crucial part in helping children succeed academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Active TX Speech Language Pathologist License required
- Experience or comfort working with elementary school-aged children
- Capability to design and implement individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred but not mandatory
- Commitment to maintaining ethical, culturally competent, and professional practices
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Conduct student assessments and write timely, comprehensive evaluation reports
- Develop and deliver individualized education program (IEP) goals and objectives
- Collaborate with teachers, other specialists, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions and student outcomes
- Participate in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and ongoing professional development
