Make a significant difference in a young child’s life by providing dedicated 1:1 care as a contract school nurse for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity allows you to work directly with a preschool student who faces complex medical challenges and requires skilled, compassionate support throughout the school day.

As the assigned RN, you’ll accompany the student from their home on a daily van ride to and from school and remain by their side during class hours. You’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing their safety and well-being in both educational and transportation environments.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with experience in pediatric, school, or home health settings
• Familiarity with tracheostomy care, oxygen administration, and G-tube feedings
• Comfort managing diagnoses such as tracheomalacia, hypothyroidism, reflux, Down syndrome, and visual impairment
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• A patient, empathetic, and resourceful approach to supporting global developmental delays

Responsibilities:

• Meet the student at home, ride the van to school, and return in the afternoon, providing comprehensive nursing care during transit
• Remain with the child throughout the school day, administering prescribed treatments and interventions as needed
• Monitor vital signs, manage respiratory equipment, and handle nutritional needs via G-tube
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any notable observations
• Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and the student’s family for seamless support
